we have a winner.

in short, i dont really know how to explain the technicalities here, and i dont really care. all i know is that as far as i am concerned my pants look pretty gosh darn good these days, no saggy crotch here (as far as the pants are concerned anyways), and they are all quite comfortable (the pants). and i get that by wearing my pants on the same spot on my waist and using an outseam measurement for length. so, it may be wrong, but it works for me, so i am sticking with it.

no worries. here is how i see it though. the jacket is solid, the shirt has medium spaced stripes, and the neat pattern is spread out wider than the stripes. meaning, if you laid it flat on the shirt there is a line of neat pattern for about every 2-3 lines of shirt, not 1:1. the scale is certainly varied in my opinion, which is why it works. the textures are not quite as varied as the scale, but i think there are more than enough different textures going on for it to work.

all this is moot though because we both like it. yay!!!

Those Lobbs are the bomb- IMO the perfect black caps.  swelled round toe and high vamp. respect.

I think maybe the OEII on the P2 in Vass would be close, but these are unique

H. Lesser 13 oz (number 29790 if I remember correctly). Absolutely fantastic cloth, with a dry, crisp feeling. My next commission will use another cloth from the same book, but in in medium grey birdseye (29774).

^trousers appear to fit well but look funny with no creases, given the formality of the coat.
