Hi guys,

I've been away for a couple of weeks, working like a mofo and then skiing (Southern Hemisphere, innit).

Spotted this Canali DB summer jacket in the Sydney boutique, tried it on and asked the assistant to take a snap. What do you think? Seems to fit pretty well right off the rack. From memory I think it's quarter or half canvassed, fairly lightweight. Fabric is a wool-linen-silk blend. Buttons are a beautiful translucent mother-of-pearl.  Please ignore the pants etc as I was wearing them when I walked into the shop.

It's really friggin' expensive so I would need a lot of encouragement. Alternatively I suppose I could get a tailor to copy the design, might work out a bit cheaper.

Feedback please.

Looks pretty good, coxaca, though I see some collar gap - is that related to the pose? Also looks slightly tight, but I can live with that on a DB.

Or is it MTM and you have massive lats?

(The tie is not really so bright in real life as the photo below seem to suggest, the colour in the spoilerd close-up is closer to the real colour) Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I noticed those bumps too, not sure what's causing them. Might have been the the way I was standing, the bumps are not there when I look in the mirror and the shoulders fit fine (for OTR). The pads are perhaps a little too thick for my taste, so that might have something to do with it. Oh, and I definitely do not have massive lats shog[1].gif

Thanks! That is one awesome jacket Pliny (details?) and it work great with the light grey trousers. I've been looking at that tie too t Ed's site biggrin.gif. My only minor critique is that I wish the tie was tied a little bit shorter - to the top of the belt or there about.

thanks-  it's a BB District Check.  i dunno why i wear the tie long, but if i had to guess its because i've got short legs, so i like a higher rise, and the tie covering the belt kind of disguises that -  to me anyway.
