Now I gotya. I didn't even know those were peak at the time I was buying them. I was looking more at the fit and color of the suit. Guess I'll watch out next time. Thanks for pointing this out. I actually learned something here. Notch lapels on SB!

Holdfast, I've really enjoyed your lest few fits, especially the summer ones. While I know you've expressed a inclination in the past for longer and slightly fuller coats it seems to me like you've been reigning it in lately and I like the results. Who'd have figured that an Englishman would kill the summer fits? That being said, I agree with Jester, the grey tie could probably be improved upon here. Maybe a light blue is safe, though a knit it should remain.

I rarely have cause to wear a suit, but thought I'd put one on to welcome the new crop of students.

In retrospect I should have worn a solid shirt.

Oh quite on the contrary. I love knits. I'm OK with Grenadines. I just don't fetishize them like a lot of people do. I think a fit with a grenadine could usually be done better with a little more thought in to using a different tie. But, to be fair, the chocolate grossa by SH is fucking excellent. Stitch does it best. The striped ones are really cool, too.

I LOVE knits. I will show you later this week when I get my camera and know how to work it. Watch the Friday Challenge thread, senor. I think the flat edge on the knit adds a lot of playfulness to the fit. I've currently got maybe 7 knits.. sold another 5 through Spoo since I decided I didn't like anything below 2.5" for knits. 2.75" being ideal.

seajen - very nice.

HF - that is excellent. i really like this more boring look for you, but you wouldnt be you without your louder fits. glad you make room for both.

Not so happy with this today.

I think the problem is the pants; they seem a tiny bit baggy and are a bit to long. I also think you would be nicer in some brownish cordroy with that jacket. As it is now, the top and bottom of this outfit is not enough connected.
The jacket could do with an encounter with steam :-).

Jacket, shirt & tie is nice, even though I find frensh cuffs a bit confusing in this overall causual look.

A SB suit made of Bateman Ogden cloth. I had it done quite some time ago so, sadly, it can no longer hold my ever expanding waist as it used to in the past. I also sport a pair of penny loafers by Bass. As you can see, I need the panama to soften my looks because when I take it off, people start to think that secret service has arrived with their new collection of casual suits ;P

I had the coat in the Whirlpool Pret-a-porter 30 minutes before I wear the coat. So it´s old cotton and the coat gets creases faster as you can look.

And why not french cuffs on an a casual look? I wear to 90% french cuffs for both formal and casual dresses.

Serious look and tight midsection aside, this is friggin' awesome, best look in a long while.... I really dig the colour of the suit, it looks vaguely olive/green, is that correct?

I bought the cloth because it is absolutely crazy! It is dark green but with some light blue and red accents intervowen, it is very hard to say what color the suit actually is as it heavily depends on the light :D

Blame my poor modelling skills. I am a bit like Roger Moore in Bond movies - have 3 face expressions :P
