Ahhhhhhhhhh. Much better (and I don't even like yellow ties). I will second Spoo's comment about the PS; maybe linen or cotton with a contrast edge more casually stuffed, or in that blue from the tie? Maybe even something that works with the tan in the seersucker? I think o/o would have you go sockless, though!

1930's Boater Redux....(be warned, it's a touch 'costumy')



I just finished removing the collar from an old shirt and stitching in some new button holes so I could try out this vintage 'double round' collar I've had for a few years...thought I should go the whole hog with the belt-backed linen DB and the boater!
Also loving this tie from Howard Yount

Also, some proof that I am passing on the tradition...the 13 year old this weekend:

Agree with Spoo, much better. Seersucker is already an FU fabric, so these calmer details make it more reasonable.

Very splashy and summery. I am not a huge fan of that shirt - maybe a blue plaid instead?

This is a good summer look without being too OTT, even with the boater. The trou cause me to pause a bit, but I like the blue overcheck that plays with the blues on the top. I'd like to see this with brown suede shoes or specs.

This is a nice almost CBD look - the blue coat gives it a flip to FU. Well done. And you're training your padwan well.

IMHO, you have way too much light color here. You should have brought in something else. A pale blue shirt, a darker tie...some contrast somewhere. It looks nice, but to me seems washed out.
