HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part III - Page 3872

Color bomb was sort of a goal with this; it was either tone down everything a little or go out full guns blazing, and I chose full guns... autumn and its tweeds are just around the corner, so why not have some fun tongue.gif

At least I hoped colors wouldn't clash badly, and I'm not sure I have been successful at that. Shirt is pale green...

Well, oddly enough, I won the Friday Challenge here this week - a squeaker (I won by one vote). Such a victory hasn't occurred since Sharon Stone won a Golden Globe for Best Actress in "Casino" - as she said herself at the time, "It's a goddamn miracle."

I am sure that Voxey would be turning over in his grave at the news, save for the fact that he's still alive and well and living in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (to the best of my knowledge).

Now I have the honor (and the dilemma) of choosing the next challenge . . .

Meanwhile, something a bit more conventionally shod, at least, to start the new week.

Suit - Paul Stuart
Shirt - BB MTM
Tie - Charvet
Braces - PRL
Cufflinks - Benson & Clegg, London
Shoes - Harris, via Barney's NYC

Roy Al, have you looked into less disturbing Picasso-esque ways of editing out your face?

From a few weeks back on my Instagram, but edited out to protect the identities of the innocent:

Found one more I thought I'd throw up here, so I can at least average 3 fit postings per year..

If there were a Tailor's Guild, your tailor would be brought before a disciplinary committee and get his license suspended. I could see how you could really make a great impression in a correctly cut and fitted double-breasted suit with (as others have said) a wider lapel, but oh boy this is not it. If there was a suit salesman involved as well, he should never be trusted again. I don't mean to be overly harsh or glib, but you spend a lot of money on your clothing and deserve to hear the truth.

Top notch! Out of all your many excellent sartorial offerings, this is one of your best. Especially, I like the contrast tab collar, the stripes v. the plaid of the suit, the detail of the tie, and even those socks!

I prefere Francis Bacon. In fact he is one of my favourite postwar UK-painters.

I'll look into other ways to disguise myself, and am considering pasting a picture of Justin Bieber over my face. Or one of Francis Bacon. Time will show.

I wore a pair of brown cowboy boots with Levi's and a black cotton shirt to a WNBA basketball game in Washington, DC. I had a courtside seat because I wanted to see Candace Parker play up close (she was hurt and didn't make the trip). One of the other LA Sparks players came off the court right in front of me and between me and the photogs sitting on the end of the court. She spit out a huge hock on the floor. uhoh.gif

One of the photogs sitting on a seat said that he'd never seen that happen at any basketball game much less a women's game.

A few weeks ago I saw a sleazey hooker right on the street in Bethsda, MD. She had the tight hooker dress and frizzy blonde hooker hairdo.

I know they used to be in downtown DC but I guess they had to move to the suburbs. lol8[1].gif

It's been a weird summer around here...

I am not sure I agree with the circle jerk thing. You just need to go back a few pages and see the critiques given to AAS and DC when he first showed up.

this. while WAYWRN has its issues, there is still plenty of critiquing going on.
