You just convinced me. I've been on the fence for one month regarding this particular suit. I was uncertain because of the herringbone pattern. Your photo sealed the deal. I'm getting it. Today. I will speak to the retailer. You deserve a comission.

Although, I'm pretty sure my wallet isn't as pleased with your photo.

RD-  I particularly like the tie-SC-pants blues n yellows.  I can't tell the color of the shirt.  My feeling tho is that u could have a bit of a color bomb going up top- mebe drop one?  The tie and square are so nice on their own but bit shouty together.  I really like what your reaching for here.

Color bomb was sort of a goal with this; it was either tone down everything a little or go out full guns blazing, and I chose full guns... autumn and its tweeds are just around the corner, so why not have some fun tongue.gif

At least I hoped colors wouldn't clash badly, and I'm not sure I have been successful at that. Shirt is pale green...

Well, oddly enough, I won the Friday Challenge here this week - a squeaker (I won by one vote). Such a victory hasn't occurred since Sharon Stone won a Golden Globe for Best Actress in "Casino" - as she said herself at the time, "It's a goddamn miracle."

I am sure that Voxey would be turning over in his grave at the news, save for the fact that he's still alive and well and living in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (to the best of my knowledge).

Now I have the honor (and the dilemma) of choosing the next challenge . . .

Meanwhile, something a bit more conventionally shod, at least, to start the new week.

Suit - Paul Stuart
Shirt - BB MTM
Tie - Charvet
Braces - PRL
Cufflinks - Benson & Clegg, London
Shoes - Harris, via Barney's NYC

OMG she was absolutely brilliant in that moofie-  that shot where she's in the gold? dress and sprays the chips -  and when she's toasted

Roy Al, have you looked into less disturbing Picasso-esque ways of editing out your face?

From a few weeks back on my Instagram, but edited out to protect the identities of the innocent:

Found one more I thought I'd throw up here, so I can at least average 3 fit postings per year..

If there were a Tailor's Guild, your tailor would be brought before a disciplinary committee and get his license suspended. I could see how you could really make a great impression in a correctly cut and fitted double-breasted suit with (as others have said) a wider lapel, but oh boy this is not it. If there was a suit salesman involved as well, he should never be trusted again. I don't mean to be overly harsh or glib, but you spend a lot of money on your clothing and deserve to hear the truth.

Top notch! Out of all your many excellent sartorial offerings, this is one of your best. Especially, I like the contrast tab collar, the stripes v. the plaid of the suit, the detail of the tie, and even those socks!
