Agreed. Good poses (except for the third one!happy.gif) and nice combination which would go in my DTO file if I actually had such a thing!

I hope this navy blue suit doesn't stir up negative connotations to when blue was debuted via a suit on March 12, 1961. I mean, that was, like, 50 years ago. Or shoes, which by some circles are considered to be a headscratching 2nd invention right after fire, when clearly the personal computer would have been a more logical choice. Cheers.

Donuts, I don't understand what you are referring to with your statement, but recently I made comments in a shoe thread about those walnut AE's and charcoal and navy and how jarring it looks. I think this is a perfect example of the facepalm.gif I feel several times a day when I see this color combination on the streets.

Regarding the statement, I was trying to make light of the previous threads and how a tan jacket should be left in the 90s.

Regarding the shoes, they are burgundy, not walnut.

But on that topic, walnut is going to create a contrast with a whole lot of colors, so where does one wear them?

They shouldn't wear it, imo! But still, I think darker shoes would look better. If those are truly burgundy (which they don't look even close to being in that photo) then they should be shell.

I double dog dare you to buy a pair of burgundy shoes.

I bet you'll like it.

This is my first attempt wearing a patterned tie with this jacket.  I kept everything else simple.  I might add a belt.  Shirt: Brooks Brothers, Tie: Lands End, Jacket: Polo, Pants: Incotex, Shoes: Cole Haan.

Details. (Click to show)

You send me the $ to pay for it and I will gladly buy a pair in shell!

This woud've been so much better with a light blue shirt, white is much too formal. Also, try a lighter tie next time, this is a really jarring combination. No tie would probably best though, with this jacket.
