Thanks guys..I find myself being more of a simpler dresser.. I dont have any loud pattern shirts and very few loud pattern ties in my wardrobe..no crazy striped suits and very busy plaid patterns either..with my size I like the simplicity and cut to do the talking..but then I see some guys on here like Spoo, Tirallieur, Holdfast, Crusty among some others that master it well.. and then I re-assess.. at the end of the day I always tend to navigate back to the simpler things..can't help it.. thanks for the thumbs up guys! Totally appreciate it!

Stitches, very nice suit/shirt/tie combo!

SCbrown, I think a different shirt would have helped.

More sucky pics of today's fit. Suit is a medium blue. Tie is a blue/black/white check. Shirt is a micro blue/gray check.

Suit PRL
Shoes Frattelli Rossetti

Great look imo.  You are READY for that meeting,  and your battle armor is well put together.

My friend the tiemaker in Milan tells me that "The blue/ green combinations now are strong in Italy ".

The cream/yellowish colour, plus the brown ribbon, keeps it more on the casual end of the spectrum to me, so you'll probably find that it works best with casual looks, with odd jacket/trouser looks being about as formal as you'll want to go. It will also be smashing with smart tie-less fits. Nice one!

I agree that in photos it looks pretty decent.

But some fit things are more in the feel than the look. The jacket has always felt a little loose/off to me. I think it might be something subtle like the button stance not quite syncing up with where my waist is or some similar subtle mismatch between the jacket and my body. It's strange, because I have plenty of other MTM Ede stuff that has never had this problem. So yeah, I figure why keep something I don't love if I can find a replacement that fits my body better. We'll see if the new suit en route works better...

Good cut for your build; flattering++

Thankfully, a few degrees cooler than the past couple of weeks. I spent ages trying to find this tie pattern, to replace an old identical one that had seen better days, only to find it randomly right here in my own city. Funny how things work out!

Ermenegildo Zegna is often shown in the classic-killer combination of Navy Blazer/Charcoal Slacks/Killer Accessories.

That tells you something right there, imo.

A simple white pocket square is all one needs to bring the Navy Blazer to the same level as a suit.

@ Mica Thank you . I do try to keep in reasonable shape. It takes a good deal more effort in my 50s than it did in my 30s or even early to mid 40s....

@chocsosa - You make "simple" look good!

DC, not counting the hat, this is the best fit you've shown using those pants and loafers.

Nope, but to keep the thread more easy to read you can put spoiler tags around the post you want to quote. That way we don't have to scroll past the same series of pics 5 times.

If someone wants to comment on your comment they can click the spoiler in your comment. Having too many pics slows things down. smile.gif
