HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part III - Page 3648

Anyone want to buy my KW tiebar? Was taking pictures to show the level of awesomeness and 'unsnagability' and snagged my KW Grenadine. baldy[1].gifcrackup[1].gif

$30 shipped. (I know it's not the right place for it but we did JUST talk about it)

btw, is anyone else thoroughly enjoying the fact that there are hugo boss ads all over SF. i love that they are advertising here.

Since we're talking about it...these are some new fall 2013 releases from Brooks Brothers Black Fleece line.  I like these a lot.  Thom Browne is the designer if you're wondering.  The proportions may not be to everyones liking, but I appreciate there pattern choices and their willingness to play a bit with traditional menswear norms.

You mean as opposed the Jos A. Banks ad I'm currently seeing.  Aren't the ads tailored to the viewer?  What does that say about me?  patch[1].gif

I posted that first one as somewhat of a lark though I can see them being "fun" as separates in the right context what ever that may be. Your BBBF posts are a bit more practical.... I especially like #1 and #4. smile.gif

I have an unlined 3 fold (maybe 4 fold) grenadine, from Hober. It was an experiment, done against David's advice. It's interesting, but feels way too delicate and doesn't drape spectacularly. The knot, however, is amazing.

As far as ads, all I get are charity ads. Tons and tons of them. Right now, Earthshare.org

While taking this picture I realized just how terrible those pants "fit". They need to be shortened and tapered. I like the plaid pattern though, so I'll probably use that as a guide to buy new pants.

Honestly, it looks like they're falling down because they're a size too large. Either that, or they're low-rise and baggy.

Big words from the man with one pair of decently fitting trousers, I know, but I'm calling 'em like I see 'em. I wonder if a silhouette with more of a waist on the jacket and a wider lapel might be good for you, too. Between the slim-lapel, low waist-suppression jacket and the trousers, your top half looks rather heavy. If you're going to wear your jackets like this, then don't get the legs tapered too much -- it'll throw the proportions off.

Combination is not bad, though I might reach for a BD here, and this is a good place for a plain white linen (or cream silk) PS. I like the shape of the shoes quite a bit -- may I ask for deets on those?

I dunno, man....seems like your suits have built up shoulders and look kinda dated, your shoes look to be heavy / thick American Midwestern soles....have you thought about buying a new suit that's more updated, soft/ comfortable? I think you'd look sharp as razors in one of deez:

hell, shipping is even free. I ordered a great jacket from them a month or so ago, good business.

The shoes are Allan Edmonds Cambridge: http://www.allenedmonds.com/aeonline/producti_SF8605_1_40000000001_-1
So I can not see what is wrong with this shoes.

The suit fits very good for me.

I have these suits:

- Kiton 3 pieces suit in charcoal stripes
- Navy Blue Regent suit
- DB Burberrys steel blue
- DB Ermenegildo Zegna blue with a grey check
- Guy Laroche grey Flanell suit
- Solid charcoal Eduard Dressler
- Burberrys blue/green
- Navy blue pinstripe Paul Stuart by ISAIA
- Brooks Brothers seersucker
- Scabal 3 pieces grey Pow check suit

So no need to spent >500$ for a suit from a brand I never heard from.

Here some fotos you can see the suit with better light conditions:
