How tall are you, Holdfast? I would've thought you would be taller than someone wearing a 34R.

That's the magic of photos with an absence of environmental context. I'm actually only about 5'5"/5'6".

Tired Monday...

Wow, sweet. Rock on.

Wearing UCBD all day, every day, so I won't be posting much.

Red Devil:

As your shirt is white, the standard plain white slash might be a bit stark.  I mean, it would be OK, but not perfect.  As the tie is so strong, I think you could even go with a softer, darker blue PS to rein it in a bit.  Otherwise, burgundy always makes a sweet contrast with blues IMO.  That looks like an outstanding suit, by the way.

Monkey, UCBD or not, that's great.  Love the tie.  But you could definitely use that predicable white PS (or alternative). Either way, you look fantastic.

Thanks, Mimo.  My thoughts exactly on the white linen and I have a conspicuous gap in darker blue/reds to fill in.

Cheers Mimo and Stitchy! The suit is navy, but I've worn this tie with a grey suit before. A PS is unfortunately out of the question.

As others noted, that jacket has been suppressed to the point of caricature.

Shirt: Lorenzini

Tie: Borrelli - 7 fold - wool/silk

Pants: Ralph Lauren Purple Label - cotton/cashmere

Jacket: Corneliani for Polo - wool/cashmere

Shoes: Crockett & Jones for Polo
Pocket Square: vintage made in France

First things first: Ditch that hank, especially in this combination. Second, the shirt color is very saturated, making it tough to incorporate. That said, it almost works in this context.

Discussion at our house:

Wife: You're wearing that?

Me: Yes, what's wrong?

Wife: It's a white suit.

Me: It's cream. Anyway, lots of people wear white suits.

Wife: Like who?

Me: Tom Wolfe, Prince Charles . . .

Wife: Colonel Sanders.

Me: Are you saying I look like Colonel Sanders?

Wife: No, but you could pass as Colonel Sanders' bodyguard.

Dupioni silk suit: Chan

Cotton shirt: Jos A Bank

Silk Tie: Brioni

Whiskey and Mahogany saddle shoes: Alden of Carmel

Whiskey cordovan belt: Ben silver

I like it overall. Two notes on the tie:

* A less bulky knot
* Don't cinch it so tightly. It looks like you're strangling the poor thing.
