Me: Tom Wolfe, Prince Charles . . .

Wife: Colonel Sanders.

Me: Are you saying I look like Colonel Sanders?

Wife: No, but you could pass as Colonel Sanders' bodyguard.

I think you would greatly benefit from a two-button silhouette. And maybe a smaller leg opening.

The jacket length was shortened a further 0.5" or so from standard though (for a first purchase from SS, I decided to let the salesperson decide most aspects of the alterations, just to see how well they'd handle the whole process). It's the shortest jacket in my wardrobe except a BBBF BB0 that's 0.25" shorter (no length alteration on that one), but the BBBF has more closed fronts so it doesn't appear as short as the more open Havana. I think that in future, I won't get a Havana shortened (or at least, not by quite as much). That's a minor thing though; I'm content with the length on this one as it currently is, as a different option to have within my wardrobe.

And thanks for the +ve feedback, mrjester!

How tall are you, Holdfast? I would've thought you would be taller than someone wearing a 34R.

I've been looking at the old posts and that's what he seems to do. Posts for awhile then disappears for awhile. But now he has his own Tumbler. I need to start my own Tumbler as well. Does that cost anything to start one?

That's the magic of photos with an absence of environmental context. I'm actually only about 5'5"/5'6".

Wearing UCBD all day, every day, so I won't be posting much.

Red Devil:

As your shirt is white, the standard plain white slash might be a bit stark.  I mean, it would be OK, but not perfect.  As the tie is so strong, I think you could even go with a softer, darker blue PS to rein it in a bit.  Otherwise, burgundy always makes a sweet contrast with blues IMO.  That looks like an outstanding suit, by the way.

Monkey, UCBD or not, that's great.  Love the tie.  But you could definitely use that predicable white PS (or alternative). Either way, you look fantastic.

Thanks, Mimo.  My thoughts exactly on the white linen and I have a conspicuous gap in darker blue/reds to fill in.

Cheers Mimo and Stitchy! The suit is navy, but I've worn this tie with a grey suit before. A PS is unfortunately out of the question.
