Holy smokes, this suit overdoes everything to perfection. Double breasted with matching waist coat, turnback cuffs with waterfall buttons, ticket pockets. Awesome.

Thanks, but what are waterfall buttons? (and they are not turnback cuffs, but gauntlets! bigstar[1].gif

"Waterfall" / "kissing" buttons overlap eachother:

After the boldness of Monday's attire, I thought that I'd like to wear something more sober and conventional today. I am channeling my inner pB, perhaps.

Suit - BB Fitzgerald
Shirt & cufflinks - Tyrwhitt
Tie - Hermes
Shoes - Finsbury (the last in this week's cycle of new shoes - three pairs bought between May 30th and June 12th).

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

pB, this is Spoo of which we speak - he has no truck, and he gives no fucks.

I like it! The only piece I don't like is the tie. But the colors, or lack there of are great.

Thanks very much, but I don't own a green flannel POW suit, so you must be mistaken! bigstar[1].gif

I actually like the tie, despite often not liking Hermes patterns.

To get nitpicky, I don't care for the links and I would have worn grey socks, or lighter blue socks. But I think it looks good nonetheless. Don't want to complete pBify Crusty.

I knew that the tie was not your aesthetic, but, considering your preferred style and mine, I came as close as I could to pB severity.

Such an act would be impossible - something orange would make its way into the picture sooner or later. In the artistic continuum of conflict between "disegno" and "colore", you, pB, are an ardent adherent of the former, and I of the latter - you are Firenze, I am Venezia.

I can accept that.

I have "gauntlets" on one of my bespoke suits that my tailor referred to as turnback (an Italian who speaks only rough English) so I guess I have been using the wrong term (honestly, I just point to an example of a detail I want and say "like that"). The waterfall buttons refers to cuff buttons that are stacked versus just kissing.

Again, I have to say that is one fantastic suit; what makes it work so well is that the basic elements are spot-on, without the details you already have an awesome suit. The details take it to the next level (especially those cuffs).
