Well I do have a jacket... which I wasn't wearing at the time (in the office).

(quietly closes newly opened account).

Now now, no need to do that. Mimo's comments were perhaps a little harsh sounding, but his comments are nevertheless valid. If you have a jacket nearby, just remember to wear it next time.

Also, you need thick skin if you're posting fits in here. I have certainly become more thick-skinned over the last year or so that I have been hanging out here (hopefully my fits have also improved at a somewhat similar rate) nod[1].gif

Casual in Asia.

Experimenting with loafers sans socks

Looks like the trousers are flannels? Seems like an unortodox pairing with the sockless look patch[1].gif

Yea -- They're flannels. You know, having spent much time in a cold country, I'm still a little unused to the boundaries one can push in summery Asia. Ha. I've found that one can pretty much wear what one wants indoors since air-conditioning is cranked up high (or low), but outdoors, let's not even get started ...

thanks, pB. the crowd did not call for that kind of attire. otherwise id have gone solid navy or gray suit, and a solid black, houndstooth or GP tie.

In that case you should have gone pantsless with a houndstooth tie.

Even I don't like them sometimes...just a matter of mood.  Be as serious as you like, we're all big boys here and don't put stuff up unless we can take a bit of hate now and then!  As for all the other crap you mentioned, amen to that.  Plus cargo pants with proper clothes, and socklessness (^^^YOU FUCKERS, YOU!)

Brilliant, Stitch.  Of course a chalk stripe is normally CBD, but I don't see any reason you shouldn't wear it as a lounge suit in other contexts, especially as this one looks to have a certain softness about it.  The warm/country-ish shade of the tie is quite friendly too (lovely tie actually), and overall I think you look extremely sharp.  This is a good day in Stitch-land on my scorecard anyway.

Everyone gets a kicking sometimes.  Take it like a man; if people really don't like you they just ignore you.  Keep throwing them in, it's going to work.  smile.gif

thanks, mimo, much appreciated.

it is quite soft to the touch, and the faint herringbone weave of the suit may have what to do with the soft appearance as well. tie is panta.

Mimo, you are rapidly becoming one of my favourite posters around here - always makes me laugh out loud when reading your posts (my wife sits next to me with a rather concerned expression on her face because of that). Rock on... icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

But....you wouldn't think I was funny if I wasn't  digging your style!  Still, you always wear socks and never wear cargo pants, so I guess we're safe.  I'm guessing you don't either have an asymmetric haircut, a garish digital watch, or watch much reality TV.  Rock on indeed. fistbump.gif

No, man. You get to save this for a year down the road when you can say, "Look at what I used to wear, how Macys of me."

Do what I do. Look at all the big boy threads (serious questions thread, this, MC WAYWRN, in good taste) and see what's common between all of them that you like, and use that. In Good Taste was my favorite although I never posted, as to stay in my lane. But I learn from them.

Just get some baskets ready for donation piles after you learn what good taste in style really is. I've got three and they're over-loaded.

I don't think it's necessarily because you like my style but that we seem to share the same sartorial pet peeves biggrin.gif

Still a good question. One day, people might ask it of themselves.
