I'd echo the comments of others that a more tapered leg would probably suit the truncated length better. Or at least, confirm its deliberateness to others. Mind you, sockless loafers does that anyway.

The whole discussion about trouser length - and more generally SF's attention to detail in this regard - reminds me of a description I read in a book the other day, of an unfortunate chap with OCD. I found the relevant excerpt online (couldn't copy paste for some reason, so took a screenshot instead):

A cautionary tale to avoid worrying about these things too much...!

I appreciate the comments and am aware that these are too wide and too short, but it was my first suit and I love it. I have a problem with wanting my pants perfect because I'm short.

Here is the latest pant I've had made, any thoughts or comments?:

I, personally, think it's a bit short, but then some folks like it short, so it's very hard to say for certain.

southernstyle, if you're going to wear 'em that short, then they should be narrower.

Yep, high-water pants should have a leg opening of around 7.5"-7.75". They'll billow awkwardly when you're walking otherwise.

So, this is my first brown suit, and I'm wondering whether this combination works. Should I have gone with a navy tie perhaps?

I don't think that works for you, monkey. I wouldn't have gone with a brown pinstripe. That's tough to pull off, and that tie is not helping you. Solid brown suits are awesome though. Don't care for the shirt. Don't like patterns on the suit and shirt if you are only doing two.

I like the suit, MonkeyFace. Is it from SS?

Your pants need to be slimed out.
