Furious about the Champion's League loss...
anyways went sockless for the first time this year... it was quite sunny.

Not a fan of jeans with this outfit, but great otherwise.

Edit: The jacket seems too tight, but most of your stuff is, so I didn't comment on it initially.

I think your jacket and trousers are way too close in color.

I would agree. I have always had trouble pairing this charcoal herringbone jacket with pants. Do you have any suggestions? I would appreciate it for my pants wish list for next fall.

CP, it is a jcrew hanover blue merino sweater.

"Life must be good in the Southern hemisphere!"

It definitely is! St. Matthew's Passion this week. I have to play oboe, oboe d'amore and english horn. 3 long concerts starting tonight, but such a great piece!

"Matthew Perry? :)"

Hahaha, I think we've found my doppleganger.

"How has this not received more thumbsup? Looks smashing."

Thank you Holdfast. It's really appreciated!

How dark are they? look like they could work with some kind of navy/blue color. or maybe some light brown cords?

A night of amazing magic, overpriced food and tasteless ties at The Magic Castle.

Finally something we can all agree on

By dark you mean the jacket or the pants? The jacket is pretty standard charcoal and grey herringbone. The pants are a white and black donegal. I have paired it before with tan cotton trousers, blue tic weave pants, and light grey flannel. I can see brown in the right shade working. Navy I think would look too dark maybe?

I was reffering to the jacket. But yeah brown would def work. I believe u can get your hands on some lighter shade of navy kind of Deep blue instead of navy (something between blue and navy)

I seldom wear this Charvet, but it went well with the vibe of the night. I see where you're coming from, but it looks much better in real life than in photos.

Why do so many Style Forum guys have goatees?

Talking of beards, there's definitely a wider trend to (full) beards going on. I only grow mine once a year or so, and usually only keep it a month or so, but I'm feeling like keeping it a bit longer this time round as it kind of feels right. But growing it did get me noticing that full beards in general seem to be more popular now than they've been for ages. Goatees/Van Dykes though? Not a fan; feels a bit passe.

No need to argue. Here are the actual lines, as traced over the photo in the 'Chop:

Not quite as epic as the infamous squiggly/straight trouser leg diagram of a few years ago (was that sho'nuff? can't remember...), but still entertaining. :)

Furious about the Champion's League loss...

Marseille fan, I take it? Bayern were pretty strong favourites going in, but yeah, it's never fun when your side loses... re: fit - shirt is good but I'm not really feeling the overall look this time.

Ah, I saw the French username, and jumped to the wrong conclusion. Sorry. At least you can say that you got beaten by probably the best club team around right now, with probably the best player. Scant consolation, I know! Still, having been on the receiving end of a few lessons from Barca in recent years as an Arsenal fan, you sort of get used to it...

I'm not sure what wasn't gelling with the look. With more fashion/street-oriented looks, I'm out of my depth and tend to resort to a more simplistic interpretation: does it all mesh well together, or not? This one didn't quite work for me. You'd probably more nuanced/helpful feedback from others though.
