That shirt and tie do not go together--the stripes are too close in scale.

i assume you mean the horizontal ones, not the repp stripes.

I assumed that the similarly-scaled stripes would work due to one set being horizontal and the other vertical.

i think it would look a million times better if the tie were just blue with the repp stripe. The small textured stripes arent working for me.

but as usual, you get a huge thumbs up for the hair. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Indeed, sorry if that wasn't clear.

Jacket - too tight (but you already knew that)
Tie - too ugly and to many stripes when worn with a striped shirt
Pants - too casual for what's a fairly businessy top half

I'd ditch the tie and shirt. A lite blue or even a white buttondown with a blue knit tie would work.

Damn fine choice with the green pants, especially with the blue and yellow of the tie.  I do have to agree, though, that a more basic shirt would do well.

One of the clubs at the school I teach at held a flea market last week.  I picked up this J. Press knit tie for $7.  Thanks, students.

I like everything but the sox. They too matching that pocket square
post #51582 of 78723
Socks are may fave part. Ditch the PS if they are too matchy with the socks.

Change the square instead of the socks, as it's too close to the shirt too.  But I like the overall feel.
