Have you tried shirts with a taller collar, mate?

This is already a 2-button collar with a 4cm collar band, so any taller of a collar and it starts looking comical. I just have a really long neck.

SVB - You have my word that I've seen enough discussions about your collars and I will refrain from any further discussion there of.

In other news, I didn't manage to get shots before, but here are some after shots from date night with my wife last night.

How is the fit on this tux?  Is the fit alright or is it too big?

Any advice gratefully appreciated!

If you haven't figured out that 90% of the bollocks I post in this board, and that post in particular, is done (at least in part) in jest then you've definitely missed something.

The jacket's not bad, possibly a touch too short and ever so slightly too wide in the shoulders (although the latter is fine if intended - it's supposed to give a striking silhouette after all).  I don't think it's too big - and I'm wondering why it's gaping so wide in the quarters - but it does look a touch boxy.  Your shirt doesn't fit you at all; too big all over (I often have this problem with standard fits, even as a fatty, because my collar size is big); either get it taken in to fit you, or just buy a "slim fit" in the same collar size..  The trousers are too long; get them taken up at least an inch.  Don't forget a cummerbund or waistcoat.  And I don't like your shoes.

Apart from that you look lovely.

Why not post this on the Tailors Thread? That's what it's there for. This really isn't the place.

True, but then I don't get to insult someone's shoes gratuitously.  How are you, FM? :)

Pretty good, thanks. Not posting any fits right now because I am visiting a university in Denmark and they are all very informal here, so just wearing jeans + shirt every day.

I'm not posting either because I haven't bought anything in ages and frankly I'm bored with looking at everything I already have!  But you should be leading from the front over there - get those southern Scandinavians up to Pingson standard!

In defense of Denmark, I would like to show you that some gentlemen still dress classically, as this recent movie event arranged by "The Journal of Style" illustrates:
