Bring promise of merry sunshine (so long as one does not have to marry the battleaxe contralto in the last act).

If we were to take odds on who might "know his G&S"....lol8[1].gif

I love that suit, Crusty - wonderful fresh, balanced look.  You're a cheerful vision today my friend.

16 May 2013.  History shall record this day.  The day on which "camp" was transcended. ("Tra-La!") crackup[1].gif

Don't be snippy, Mimo - he's just quoting the lyrics - the "tra-la" is written in there nod[1].gif If you've a problem, take it up with Messrs. Gilbert & Sullivan.smile.gif

Wear it casual to the beach with the sleeves rolled, 3-4 buttons undone and tails hanging out with short trousers. You could even wash the dog wearing it.... Really you could.

My final diagnosis : not cool at all.

P.S It's far too heavy to wear at the beach

P.P.S A change is as good as a holiday, as they say.

Anyway I like this version, which is all that matters really.

Nice idea (think I'll steal it). Maybe with a navy blazer and without a tie. A white linen PS might help here.

The suit is amazing. But I am not sure it works with that particular shirt and tie together. I think I would go for a non-striped shirt, and there's something about the quality of colour in the tie that just doesn't gel with the browns of the suit - can't put my finger on it though.

You're ever so slightly disturbing when you talk like that. :)

It is.  It is so remarkable I didn't even notice anything else.  In fact, I raced to this thread to see the whole thing after just a few inches of stripey wonder in the sock-rocking thread.  It is awe-inspiring.

If the Friday challenge were about four pattern mixing or more... this would have been the winner!
