...and we're all the better for it, I'm sure. Had you seen my solid, bright red silk square in the navy blazer pocket on Tuesday, you might have stroked. Well, maybe not YOU but I'm sure someone would have disapproved.
I felt the bold splash of color was "environmentally appropriate" and went for it along with a Sartori tie of inexplicable red/navy/gold design.
I changed into a solid navy twill tie after seeing the pics. I was trying to pick up the brown from the shoes up north, but I didnt love how it came out. Did I make the right move? Warning: Spoiler!(Click to show)
^ definitely a seersucker day. Tapering the pants below the knee would help a lot too, Lufty. I wish I looked good in hats like you. Also, I think it would have been better if the shoes were pure white, not offwhite.
Thanks. I was thinking the shoes would be better if they were sand, but hindsight is 20/20. No more tapering of anything I own. I am done with taper. If anything, I am starting to undo what I have previously tapered. I also though about cuffing these trou, but I'd get a 1" cuff, at best, so I am not convinced it's worth it.
lufty, whats the dilly on the last pic, planning on tweeting that to someone?
Spoopokeher, I think with those pants, the top is too somber/businesslike. The jacket looks worsted wool, I would suggest a linen/cotton/fresco jacket, ideally in a slightly lighter shade. Also, the tie, if you are going to wear one in this outfit, this is where you break out the linen/cotton/raw silk ties. And the shirt could also be better/different.
