HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part III - Page 3361

The sun is rumored to be returning to NYC today, and I'm meeting friends for drinks this evening, so I decided to make use of the dreaded black suit for such an occasion, accessorized with one of my louder Charvets (the friends in question will find that quite alright).

Suit - BB GF Regent
Shirt - Tyrwhitt
Tie - Charvet
Cufflinks - New & Lingwood
Shoes - C & J

Jacket lapels look to be bowing a bit (maybe it is how you are standing to take the pic). Shoulders look ok, jacket length looks ok. jacket sleeve length a little short maybe.

Shirt sleeves should be a little longer.

Tie knot needs a lot of work. I cannot tell what knot it is, however tighten the knot itself a whole lot so it holds a good dimple at least, and then tighten the necktie around your neck a whole lot so the tie knot fits in your collar properly.

Tie bar is low, should be about or just below the top of your shirt pocket height near the third button on the shirt.

PS looks good.

Trousers look to be too tight / small around your legs - so much so that they are wrinkling around your upper legs.

Hope this crit helps fing02[1].gif

The lapels of two of my jackets have been doing that lately - sort of popping out a little around the chest. What is that a result of?

The trousers are a bit of an experiment from ASOS. They're slim fit and tight but I'm giving it a go. They will stretch a bit I think, see how they look after a couple of wears. If they don't work out they were only cheap so no huge loss.

In terms of tie knot, PS, tie bar and shirt sleeves - thank you. I will remember for future purchases and outfits - I'm only realising how little I know and I think there will be a few things that need changing in my wardrobe. Thank you for the critique!

Love the nigerian photos Tiralleur. Derek, while I can´t really put my finger on what it is, today´s effort is not as good as your usual stuff Imo. maybe it´s the size of the collar, but something is a bit off.
Crusty - one of your best in a long time - despite the colour

Here,s my tuesday:

Really excellent except the pocket square which seems both disconnected from the rest of the outfit in colour and matchy in pattern to the tie. Love the tie - where is it from?

Thanks - agree on the square. Not the best of choices. The tie is Drakes.

Bit wrinkly after a day of wear, but meh. Trying to spring it up with some happy colors.
