An odd set of coincidences determined today's attire. I am invited to a gala fund-raising dinner this evening, and, at the same time, the Friday Challenge was to construct an outfit entirely in black, white, and grey. The result of those two facts is what you see below.

Suit - BB GF
Shirt - BB
Tie - Ben Silver
Cufflinks - Tyrwhitt
Shoes - Harris, via Barney's NYC

I got them at Barneys but they pop up on gilt every once in a while.

NYI - the dark orange trousers are nuts. But if you're going to rock them - and they're certainly fun - the pale orange bag and the light brown shoes need to go IMO. Much darker brown shoes would be better, I think, and either no bag or dark brown (or beige) one. I'd also think about a pale blue shirt but there's something to be said for the bold top/bottom contrast too.

Didn't particularly want to wear a suit & tie today, so had to come up with something more relaxed for the grey/black/white challenge theme:

In keeping with the theme, the socks are a black/grey argyle, and I chose a black leather strap watch & a silver cisele patterned pen just to keep it going... laugh.gif

Ok... I was going to participate on the Friday Challenge, I have not seen the thread, but by the pics I see here, I'm not going to post my attempt. Holdfast, Crusty and Steffen... AWESOME!

Nice Kappelan. What is the coat? Is it water proof?

I'm entering the Friday challenge... Today I'm wearing a navy mohair suit from A. Sauvage that I purchased online. It arrived yesterday! They're based in London and specialize in made-to-measure but I'm a standard 40R and it fits me perfectly (after I'd gotten the trousers hemmed). Anyway, the suit's super beautiful and so's the cloth - I feel like the shit. Thought I'd share some photos:

Where did you buy this? I love the colour.
