hahaha, yeah. I have lost some more weight at the hips area and these pants have double forward pleats, so the extra fabric bunches up in funny ways when I'm not standing perfectly straight tounge.gif

That, and the fact that the trousers are not dressed lookaround.gif

clarinetplayer, thanks!  You're right in that the roped shoulders add "authority", but the main reason I chose them is because they're very flattering for the nonexistant shoulders God gave me lol8[1].gif

Today. An improvement from yesterday, let me assure you, but still not sure I'm back on whatever semblance of game I had.

Last time I tried this SC, SB suggested I try it with lighter, trou and tie. So here's my attempt. I also tried for a lighter square, but couldn't find anything that didn't clash with the gun check tie.

Who makes the clutch/portfolio?

I'm thinking to get one for the local/light meetings... just curious how it is like without handles or some sort of strap.

Baron. I bought this many years ago, they might still have it.

Perhaps you could have them tailored, if that is possible? In my opinion they are a fly in the ointment on your otherwise great fit.

Maybe I will, but cold weather is about to end and who knows if they will fit next winter. Tailoring them now would be a waste of money IMO. In the meantime, that crease wasn't noticeable IRL, really smile.gif

They were a gift from friends, but eBay seems to have a variety of them: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&rt=nc&_nkw=shift+cufflink

Crocs are just stupid good. I need to get a neutral color and white striped shirt post haste.

Last MTM jacket experiment, with higher armholes, very lightly padded and roped shoulders, roomier waist, and open quarters. Smoked MOP buttons.

Will probably close the quarters a bit (or make them less rounded), and try to ask them not to make the lapels so "rounded" for future commissions; but overall I'm rather happy. For the price I paid, it doesn't get much better than this.

Strangely enough, this jacket fits better on my right shoulder than on my left - it's always been the other way round.

I love this. I really dig the tie.

The tie, something about the tie is preventing me from liking this. I'm not sure if it's the pattern scale matching up with the hank, or if it's the color. I love that close-up of the fabric though, great SC.

Awesome stuff man, congratulations on the daughter. For a long time I wasn't sure if you'd be able to get one past the goalie...I'm glad that wasn't the case smile.gif Outfit looks sharp as hail.

Here's today's effort. Two maiden voyages going on here, and one second outing.

Shirt - BB linen/cotton blend. Second time wearing, and man does this bad boy breath. Awesome for S/S.
Tie - Chipp grenadine in purple. First grenadine purchase, along with one in Rust.
Pants - Boss wool cargo in charcoal. These are really versatile, although some guys wouldn't wear them in a business setting.
Shoes - Grenson.

Thanks. I'm ambivalent about the tie. It's an unusual, pointy-end knit, and I rarely wear it. Perhaps I should save it for St. Patrick's Day... smile.gif
post #48551 of 78722
I didn't even realize it was a knit haha! I was also thinking the lighting was probably effecting the hue of the tie.

It's the tie + square combo that bothers me most... if we only look at the stripes in the tie, they are different from the square's dots in scale, but the stripes really do come off as dotted and clash with the square confused.gif
