nice jeans, deets please

As my first post to this forum I'd like to know about what this chinos and jeans rule is?

And I reserve corduroy for only winter time... it's not just a style thing, it's a comfort thing too.

If you can wear jeans during the summer, why not corduroy trousers? Both are sturdy cloths. Just as jeans can be softer and lighter for the summer, there are different types of corduroys that can be worn during different seasons. It is a question of comfort. And I've never found corduroy trousers uncomfortable during the summer.

Alrighty. Taking into advise from others regarding pants length, shoe size, and blazer waist suppression/shoulder size, I'm going to try this ensemble, with try being the operative word: Olive Calvin Klein Blazer. Green/White American Eagle Checkered Shirt. Olive (w/ Pink Stripe) Tie. Gray Calvin Klein Chino. Brown Florsheim Loafer. I have two questions regarding the blazer, and one about my pocket square, and one about my pants: 1. What kind of buttons would make this suit jacket more sportcoat-like? I've realized it's a suit jacket, but I want to distinguish it from such (especially since Calvin Klein doesn't seem to make any pants in this color anymore). 2. How do I make this into a 3-roll-2? I've seen suggestions for wearing it more/ironing it, but I'm scared to ruin the jacket. Anybody have any other suggestions? Right now, it's a hard 3, and it feels really uptight to button 2 buttons with the top button so high. 3. How in the hell is a pocket square fold supposed to stay in place? If I try to fold mine, the creases from when it was folded are still extremely present. In the picture above, I just folded the square into somewhat of a square and use a paper clip to hold it all together. Is this just because I'm using cheap pocket squares? 4. What is another color pants I can wear with this outfit? I'd like to believe I can wear my white jeans with this, but beyond that, I'm clueless. Thank you all for being patient with me and critiquing my wardrobe! I'm still learning a lot, even after browsing and lurking for 8+ months.

Yo wannabe, why do you pose with your legs bowed way out like that? Anyway, jacket's a bit tight, and a wish the PS was a bit louder. I like the Chinos. Where are they from?
