HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part III - Page 3196

Hi guys

First post here though I've been lurking for some time. Still reworking my dressing room after losing 10 kilograms and learning that my stuff was terrible anyways. Not confident enough to post fit pics yet and please forgive the messy floor on the second pic.

This is gonna hurt but I'm here to learn. Fire away!

The herringbone jacket is too close in scale to the shirt pattern.

this. however, each individual piece is nice...just needs to be paired different. I hate to be that guy and go for the cliche "a light blue shirt wouldve been a better choice" but i guess its cliche because its almost always correct.

Welcome!

Yes, they are odd-pants in charcoal.

I agree they should be lighter colored to give better contrast.

Here is todays fit (same pants, also too dark...):

as you may have noticed, posting a fit is not a requirement for talking in this thread. smile.gif

Can I ask what is the purpose of wearing a tie bar with a 3 piece?? I know your trying to be quirky and individualistic but i just dont follow the logic.

It seems counterintuitive, but as someone who wears either a waistcoat or 3 piece most of the time, I also wear a hidden (or barely visible) tie clip. There are two reasons: a proper fitting waistcoat should be form fitting, but not so much so that your tie can’t move around and become crooked (and, unbeknownst to you, stay that way!); the second is that some of us (as seen in the original post) like to puff the tie up just a bit and the clip facilitates that well.

Today is the Feast Day of Saint Joseph. The red color is traditional as green is for Saint Patrick. Sugar is liturgically correct.
