I think it demonstrates style and class. There might be some fit nit-picks, but I am guessing you stopped traffic wearing it out today...was it to work or for an occasion?

It's not bad at all... but you need better pics to really appreciate the ensamble. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Yeah...they look like they were taken with a Kodak Instamatic from the 80s.

A Darker blue tie.  The shoes, with this suit is horrible, IMHO - i don't know why anyone would wear "Boss" shoes, not today's boss - you need a dress shoe with laces in this suit and sock, and not a (Boss)...

I like the tie shade...assuming that he is in a climate that is already warming up.

I like those socks. They're subtle, but I think the red/pink accent works well.

fit looked great. i think maybe a more subtle tie work better with the formality of the suit, and that it seems there is a lot of white in the tie, and the shirt seems white, so they kind of wash each other out, but that could just be the pic.

one more tiny nitpick, the collar seems it might be a tad large.

all in all though, without the super nity-pick-ness, a great looking fit. cheers!

Nice fit, two comments/opinions about how to improve it, the first is not up to you and the second may be.

First, wider lapels would be much better for this jacket and rounder quarters would complement it; second, a silk hankerchief would give some more,, for the lack of a better word, interest.

Thanks it's just a nice shade of not quite navy but not blogger blue either.

Thanks, these new grenadines just came in this morning and will be on the site tonight sometime (Australian time). We have 5 colours, the forest pictured, chocolate, maroon, navy and black. I'm calling it the bambino weave, it's a small weave probably similar to Hobers fina weave. They are 7 fold, self tipped and lined (lightly). Handmade in Naples as all my regular ties are. They'll be $99.95 AUD though I offer a style forum discount of 10% with the code SF10. More detailed product pics will go up on my affiliate thread later on.

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately my lapel widener is broken at the moment. biggrin.gif Just kidding. I agree with you and would prefer a wider lapel, but this particular jacket is what it is.

Also, a silk square would not fit the casual, soft look of today's fit quite as well, IMO, but I appreciate the suggestion.

Something more like the SF style... I guess only because of the colour of the shirt. lol8[1].gif
Sorry about the flare again. baldy[1].gif

The tie and hank combo seems random. The similar motif of each also clashes, despite the varied spacing.

Change out the shirt for a university stripe or solid white, and take the advice offered above re shoes with laces, and this would be alright. I think a tie in this blue looks great with that shade of gray.

Yesterday: Dots on (effectively) dots is tough. Even though the spacing is different, you'd be better off with a different pattern on the hank

Today: The MOP buttons look garish in this context

I don't believe the tie is doing this any favors.

I don't have much love for chinos, but if you're going to wear 'em, you could do much worse than this. thumbs-up.gif
