I guess this is technically a 4 pattern combo--the suit has an amazing, super-subtle pattern: Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Love the shirt, CK.

Not how I pictured you, btw. Don't get me wrong, I 100% approve.

As far as I can tell from the picture, I love those shoulders.

I adore the jacket!

Malford, that's beautiful.  I think sometimes many of us (me included) add another colour by default, and certainly avoid matching the tie to the jacket.  But the difference in tones and textures and patterns makes this blend beautifully I think.  Beautiful jacket, beautiful tie, outstanding shoes...you're really on the money today, Sir.

About half a year ago I decided it was time to start learning how to dress properly. Not sure if I´m doing a good job yet, so I´d be more than glad to hear your opinions.

Malford, I think that tie is a bit too business for that jacket... if it didn't have patch pockets maybe, but it is a very casual jacket confused.gif

Funny thing is, Sr Diaz, this outfit reminded me a bit of you!  I think it's rule-bending done right. :)

Now that I'm tired of "business casual", and have reverted to wearing a suit today, the snow, promised for the last two days in NYC, has finally arrived. Timing is everything, I guess . . .

Suit - BB GF
Shirt & tie - BB
Cufflinks - Thomas Pink
PS - PRL
Shoes - AE Sevens
Raincoat - Burberry
Scarf - Johnston's of Elgin
Hat - Weatherproof

hmmm... well, i like prints with odd jackets, but i think this one in particular is a suit tie... it seems a bit shiny and the neats are small and discrete.

Just recently started learning how to dress, and trying to be a wee bit creative.  Opinions please!

This is as casual as I allow myself to be nowadays biggrin.gif

As nice as this wool challis tie is (I got it from MoL a while back), it is just not wide enough for my taste. I envy those of you that can pull off wearing 8cm ties sneaky2.gif

I'm with Mimo on this one, I think that tie works in this context nod[1].gif. I agree that it is strictly speaking a "suit tie", but it's not a major violation of good taste to wear it with a sports coat. At least to me, it looks really good (and I have been known to wear such ties with SCs rolleyes.gif).
