Dig, if I got called out on yesterday's loafers, I expect the same or worse for today's.

What to wear in the impending rain and snow (rubber overshoes not shown)
Blazer, waistcoat, shirt, cords, & PS - BB
Shoes - Italian-made AE
Raincoat & scarf - Burberry
Hat - Weatherproof

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Not too fond of this suit for day-wear, I think the colour is just a shade too dark - it works much better at night. Hence it doesn't get worn very often. (edit: I also see that I need to have the suit pressed shog[1].gif)

Bonus snow storm pic: Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Paul Smith suit
Belsiario MTM shirt
Atmosphere cashmere/wool tie
Amanda Christensen PS
Barker

Crombie overcoat

Back to doing the foo.gif-bend again?

You manage to pull off an almost charcoal jacket, that is quite a feat! (or is the colour in the pics off? It certainly looks charcoal in the second photo).

^ Didn't want to fiddle much with the hank, so I went for the safe foo.gif-puff today...

It's charcoal, yep smile.gif

I think you did it the only way it really can be done - light grey trousers, light blue shirt, subdued colours for tie and square. Good job, looks great!

so many issues here today. I forgot why i never wear this shirt...sleeves are 99 fucking inches long. facepalm.gif I was running a bit late and didnt have time to put on a better shirt. This will fuck up the rest of my day....may as well take of my jacket, lose the tie and roll up my sleeves like a politician campaigning in Iowa.

^^ I think a pink/purple fine-striped shirt would be better; I think the suit sleeve is too short, too! :S I'd say, get the SC sleeves lengthened a half-inch.

well, i have an interview for a promotion today, figured stripes would be a bit too busy, so a solid light blue was a better choice i think.

Sleeves for my liking are WAY too long. heres a pic of the same jacket with proper fitting shirt...

Get two of the biggest rubber bands that you can find so that you don't cut off circulation to your hands and...

Fwiw, it's the same FIH knot I tie everyday, dimple in the middle etc etc. might be the knit tie throwing you off a bit, but knit ties always knot a bit different to a regular tie. Anyway, I just looked in the mirror and it looks the same to me as always, so I'm happy with it. Again fwiw, I rarely if ever re-tie my tie if it's a little off.

Don't know what he's talking about. Everything looks great to me. Tie looks awesome! icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Purple is definitely trending here the last few days. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Re: shirt sleeves - I had a few shirts like that myself and I ABSOLUTELY hated those shirts. As you say, wearing one definitely ruins the whole day. Mine are now thankfully long gone!

(although all it takes to make them wearable is moving the cuff button to make the cuff tighter, so that they can't slide half-way down you hand)

That's where I like my shirt sleeves to end, so they don't look short when I lift my arms.  So I make my jackets longer...each to his own.

well lifting my arms would mean that i actually do something other than stand around in a robot pose so my fit looks decent. lol8[1].gif
