It looks too short. And too tight (I can see your belt).

Socks + trousers = sweet match.

I guess the jacket is too tight. Can't tell for sure with your hand in your pocket. (And the trousers are too short for my taste.)

I like the top half, but your pants usually (and certainly in this case) let me down. Me sad.

Apparent over bagginess of trousers acknowledged. I will see my tailor. Or haberdasher. Whichever one I run into first.

GMMcL, you were doing alright until we got to the shoes. The tie/hank combo is on the peacock end of the spectrum, but I have no problem with that.

Not a fan of the quirky?

I don't mind quirky, but at least in the picture posted, they look clumpy.

Fair enough. Went back and looked again. They're sort of middling to me in that regard, but the fact that they're boots puts me off of them.

If that what new dad's are wearing these days. Very nice...I assume the baby will be very well dressed as well?

Thanks, guys. All my shoe pictures seem to have massive foreshortening issues. Makes me look like I have short, wide feet. And these shoes are actually a fairly elongated last (they're Crockett & Jones for PRL; if I were more knowledgeable about shoes I could discern which of the endless stream of numbers is the last), though I will kop to them being on the clunky side. I also thought the color would work better. In retrospect, I should have gone for a slightly lighter shade of beige.

Again, thanks for the input!

Shirt is light blue and tie is a bronze raw silk.

Shoes are dark brown Marlows.

Clearly much more somber outfit today, need to keep the average ... "average", I guess. Also I realise now why I have been avoiding these flannel trousers the last couple of months. They have an almost jeans-like low rise, and after mainly wearing high-waisted trousers/braces, wearing a belt is turning out to be really uncomfortable. The trousers, as nice as they are, will probably have to go.....

Hi Guys,

I uploaded a picture to the Mr. Porter Global Street Style competition earlier, after a day of work in Melbourne's CBD.

Would love a vote if you like it -- http://www.mrporterglobalstyle.com/style/melbourne/2786
