I saw this silk and fell in love with it...some vintage stuff Ercole brought over from the OC...very cartoony, not meant to be serious at all.

The only thing I am not completely happy with is the tie - too little contrast with the shirt for my taste.

I felt the contrast between blues was enough, what color would you go with, just a solid white? Its a s/s tie, think Seersucker, just wanted to nust it out.

Re. NYI's tie, I think it looks OK as the shirt and tie together contrast so much with the rest of the components.  But I do agree that it might work better with another colour group brought in there - if not the tie, then at least a PS.  On which point: I'd appreciate your view on my hurried and non-contrasting choice today - too dull?

I had a PS in it in the morning, but it was overload with it, so I took it out.

LOL, you need to decide based on the coursework...test on Friday.

I love just about everything you post, this included, but feel you're better than the skinny end too long sprezz. I think this look has enough sprezz without it...

When it allows you to wear such great clothes, why want it to end? Certainly on this island we all had more than enough of the earlier grey damp and wet, but now it's dry, relatively bright and the days are lengthening fast. Interesting classical dressing is greatly enabled by lower temperatures!

How about a navy hat? wink.gif

Looks like the worst wig ever!

But I agree with your post about T's tie NYI - it's just not necessary and spoils an otherwise excellent outfit IMO.

And Sugarbutch if you're still in Nawlins there are two excellent hat shops, one on Royale and one in a side street in the left as you walk north on Canal. Theres also an Allen Awemonds shop in that mini mall near the Sheraton on Canal. Happy shopping, don't come home empty handed/headed!
