Do you know what fabric this is? I like it.

Thanks Claggy - the jacket's pretty loud really, but with a solid light blue shirt and grey flannels it works for me. It's funny, when I showed my lady a pic of the fabric she said it was too much.  When she saw the jacket on me, she loved it.  I guess it's a very personal thing what one person can carry off right.  Another friend of mine said to me "I thought I looked a twat today, but you have out-twatted me with that jacket".  So each to his own. 

 

All in all, it's probably better to ask oneself: What Would Pingson Do?  An example to us all again today, P!

What colour is the suit? Charcoal, midnight navy or (shrudder) black? Looks good otherwise, I am not a member of the "red tie hate club" here on SF.

Sorry I have no clue, but it's very soft wool - my favourite SC as it happens. The SC itself is dated 1994 and fits me like a glove - ironically enough better than a few MTM jackets I have had made for myself.

I don't actually care if it is old, I like your outfit a lot Sander. Tie is awesome!!

Blech, those pents are being violently retired. But I do like the jacket, shirt, tie, shoes.

Nice Claggy, and thanks for allaying my concerns.  Will go back and add shoes to mine too.  I like all of that today.  But pull your trousers up. :)

mimo - i too am on the fence on the SC. i do love a gun club tho.

I thrifted this YSL tie last week with this SC/Shirt in mind. I think it worked out pretty well. Close-up on the pants to show the texture of the fabric. The material is awesome for spring conditions, and today is going to be 70 degrees. I really need to start picking up some basic squares now...

I like that look. Tie works well.

Certainly not 70° here, more like 17°, hence the cardigan:

It's dark blue flannel. The tie is more accurately represented in the second photo. I would describe it as burgundy which I believe does not fall under the red tie hate.
