Nice tie in the first pic

The glasses are quasi-douchey, but are somewhat appropriate for your age. However, the stuff that is crawling on your cheek is definitely douchey.

Oh no you didn't! But seriously, I'd prefer not to get into that again.. I guess I can roll with being a quasi-douche.

This fit winds up just looking muddy to me.

Mike

+1, also those colors are certain to be washed out by the lighting.

Your thoughts on this:
Pearl & Co shoes
Loro Piana raspberry pants (should they be ironed?)
Kiton jacket
Hermes shirt.

[/spoiler]

Don't know if that's "billionaire shit", but I like the palette.

It's amazing how much you can get done when you cut out email and middle men and go straight to the source, tell them you're doing everything yourself, and that all you need are a few tarballs. By the end of the day tomorrow I should have my very own cluster up and running for some serious mathematical number crunching. It's also amazing that my cuffs aren't showing. I started working out again recently and it means that my arms are actually shorter. My shoulders are once again strong enough to hold them in the correct place, which will reduce my level of shoulder problems.

Today's tie is courtesy of the awesome GShen. I can attest that it is wonderful and light, and will work very well as a summer tie for Texas:

Unfortunately, the fit did not last the day. I had to make a few too many treks through Texas' version of Hell called early summer, and this is how things are rounding out right now - just before I pack up to head home:

Cheers all. Hope ya'll have had a good day.

This feels like a regression, Tits. Tie pattern is too close in scale to the SC, and I don't think the dominant color of each wants to play with the other. Just one man's opinion.

Mike

+1. And let us not neglect the PS...

Mid-50s, windy, and raining. Sounds like tweed weather, no? Doesn't really bother me, though, because tweed and flannel are my favorite combo. I just needed a wool tie. Anyone selling some nice ones cheap? I mean, who wants wool ties in the summer? ;-)

^ Wow, NY had SF beat by 30+ degrees? Whats up with that

Agreed. I feel it'd be really tough to make that jacket really shine... The color, pattern, buttons and button stance/roll as well as the quarters are just bad combinations. The tie is great, obviously, just not with that jacket, and with a better knot. I thought you knew better than tying such a loose knot, tits

also +1000 on Spoo's feedback for Digmenow's fit. I'd ditch most of your olive trousers, man. They just don't work for you. Needs more real color. A lower camera angle would help too- chest level, preferably. From this high angle it makes you look shorter than you are. At least thats how it looks to me, you might be as short as you look.

SF is rarely hot"”or truly cold"” which is one of the things which makes it awesome! That said, our historical average for the day is 70. Dunno what's up, but the rain equals snow in the Sierra so folks are still skiing in Tahoe!

I did not accuse you of being a woman - I merely theorized that you were one, a theory which I stated would gain credence with every day that you did not post pictures. You've not, to date, posted pictures of yourself - the Theory of Darlene remains viable. Post pictures and prove me wrong.

As for my making reference to my husband, or, more accurately now, my late husband, those are statements of fact. On September 15, 2008, my now-late husband and I were legally married in the office of the City Clerk of the city of Boston, MA, Rosaria Salerno, City Clerk presiding - a matter of public record. Two days short of eleven months later, the gentleman in question, my partner in life for the preceding 29.5 years, died at Mt. Sinai Hospital, New York. Hence, husband, hence, my late husband - which part of these two concepts do you not understand?

Still, you've gotta love SF - just as long as you don't have a thin skin.

Jacket looks a little big - maybe a size? If it fits in the shoulders, try adding a little more waist suppression. Though, the nature of the picture makes it difficult.

I'd say something like "oh, snap!" but that would be crass. Instead, my belated condolences, Crusty. That just sucks.

Gee thanks! I've heard it all before though, at least I'm not an ugly 9 year old to you!

But I've posted my age and face before. Whatever. (and were you being sarcastic? I spoilered most of them because there were so many. )
