More vintage: A Certina Waterking 215 Automatic from the 60´s and art deco cuff links from the 30´s works well with a bow tie from the 50´s and some more recent stuff.

Sorry for the overexposed close-up picture, but the camera doesn't like my dark blazer. This was the lowest exposure.

What are your thoughts on removing the top "vestigial" buttons? Since the jacket has a quite high button stance, it may work.

Leave the jacket as it is. The proportions are fine the way that they are, and the two "vestigial" buttons are an integral part of the proportions.

Today, we have an outfit I take out once a year due to a round lapel buttonhole (seemed a bit unusual from the start when I got it 3 years ago even if Smalto started doing the same on its SS 2013 main line).

MTM suit hand made by David Diagne

MTM shirt by Tailormail

Drakes cashmere tie

Charvet PS

P.S.: sorry for the mess, the apartment is being reorganized...

Vendor meetings today gave me a good excuse to wear a suit.

These are probably the last weeks I can still sport my duffle coat, which I love sooooo much! Paired it with a blue button-down shirt, red knit in blue dots, grey cashmere scarf, brown gloves and brown monks. The "keepall" bag I hold in my hand is a project of the Polish society I belong to ---> But w Butonierce - Bespoke Social Club! I think that approximately 50 pieces were made in several colors - of course they dissapeared immediately.

i think this is amazing.

Edit: I decided I didn't like the PS above so here is an alternate one.

i quite like this. would like even better with more dressy trou than the cotton chinos you have on. but that is just my preference.

Org,

As an aside, I just took a look at your blog. Since you rarely push your own idea of what looks good (refreshing sometimes) it was interesting to see you explain some of your ideas and theories. Well done.

Thanks! I have to agree with you on the trousers but my excuse is lack of forethought. I just tossed a bunch of stuff in my luggage before I took off and am kind of regretting not coordinating more now. lol

Also, remember how I didn't like your shoes last time? Well I LOVE the ones you have on now.
