I think the only men in Portland who wear suits are bank managers, attorneys on their way to court and Nordstrom salesmen.

This is awesome. And those glasses on you looks perfect!

They're bespoke too actually, I have a complicated face for glasses (and a numbe of complex sight defects) .

A specialized German optician, no big mtm/bespoke service of a big brand, they make everything in their own workshop.

Hello from another Portlander! Let me echo others to say I'm a little stunned to see a suit/SF/Portland person. I don't wear suits, but I do wear odd jacket and trousers most days.

The Nordstrom salesmen don't wear suits. They wear black waistcoats over gray button-down shirts.

Is that a new thing? Every Nordstrom I have ever been to (including two in Portland) they were certainly not in a uniform.

Well, I am a US-born Dutchman who wore suits 5 days a week for two decades working as a banker in Europe, and I now work as an independent financial advisor.    So the suit is a good choice for certain (prospective) clients and, indeed, meetings with attorneys....
