Looks fantastic! 10 posts since 2009? You need to fix that.

Unfortunately, however, you are in the wrong place. Post this over in SW&D.

Why don't you wax eloquent about the merits of Allen Edmond, if you really have any facts or helpful opinions as to why AE should be considered the crème de la crème.

One thing you guys are missing with all this Spoo/RL Lindrick/AE hate/AE love is that the Lindrick is the boot version of the marlow/dalton. It *is* shell cordovan.

no one ever said AE was the crème de la crème as you put it. Decent, dependable, US made go-to shoes. That's it... don't over complicate it.

Casual Friday....

RLPL shearling bomber

LVC '47 501 rough rinse
Alden Indy 403

This jacket is striking in appearance--a standout anywhere.

I think Maciek is the bud of Macaroni (son of his bespoke tailor?) who posts some fantastic fits too.

I couldn't agree with you more. I have several pair of AE's. These two were particularly good values in a well made shoe.

Kenilworth in burnished brown calf new last fall (and factory 2nds no less). Pics were taken before I even wore them outside.

This is the AE Tresana which I bought at deep discount after the Italian made line was discontinued. They were marked down to just over $200 from an original MSRP of $595.

Next up for me is the shell macneil, I think.

Top pair in particular have a minimalist attraction- Blake or Goodyear? Very nice anyway

Goodyear welt. I really like the versatility. Works well with business attire during the day and just as well with chinos or denim at night making for a good choice for frequent business travel.
