My first selfbought suit... (tiger of sweden)

What I def. need are 2 belts brown/black fitting the shoes... this one is just bad...

sry for the bad quality

Since i'm big (1,86) and skinny i've a lot of problems finding suits that fit me... I know this one is not perfect... but better than anything I've tried so far and i fitted it a little bit at p&c tailor too!

I know you don't like lloyd shoes (and I know about their terrible repuation) but they were one of the few pairs that actually fit my feet...

The pair of brown shoes I also my first pair of nailed shoes which are a little bit more casual...

What can I improve for the future?

thx a lot...

I mean we can't really tell anything fit wise since you are not standing straight and your bag is in front of you. It looks like maybe you want pants with a rise a little bit higher next time. the gap between your tie and the belt worry me. As for the styling, there is nothing really to write home about. It is plain, but then again I  don't know if I am making assumptions because the quality of the pics aren't too good.

You really can't ask for ways to improve if the quality of the pics are terrible and you don't at least provide us with details of what you are wearing.

since you are tall and skinny you might want to use chocsosa and clapeyron as references.

First, you're not THAT big. You're what, 1,86 M and 72 kg? If I have you sized in the photos correctly, you're actually pretty average sized. Here are the things that I've noticed in your fit pics, which the quality is really bad on:

1. It looks like you're trying really hard. The reason that most of the people in here can get away with a lot of what they do is because it looks effortless
2. Your tie is insanely short. A trick that I learned as a fellow tall (1.95 M) is that tailors can easily move the part of the tie where you tuck into. I believe Despos did a huge write-up on ties for various body shapes. It could be a worthy search.
3. Button your jacket if you want a proper fit critique
4. Smart move going with the roped shoulders. On taller and skinnier guys, it is a great trick to add some bulk and hide some of the lankiness. I have really small shoulders despite being average weight for my size, so the roped certainly helps mask some of that and give a stronger silhouette.

If you get better quality photos people will critique more. Also, avoid the mirror shots.

I'll second what he just said as a tall (1.94 m) and skinnyish (85 kg) guy. That tie's gotta reach the top of the belt buckle. As an owner of a tiger of sweden suit, I will say that they have obscenely low-rise trousers, which I am not all that happy with. Makes getting "standard" length ties in the right place kinda hard. I probably wouldn't buy another suit from tiger even though the jacket fits me pretty well.

Also - is that a double button hole on the lapel? not a fan.

Hey guys!

Thank you so much for your inputs!

Next time no mirrow + bodyshot!

I meant by big in comparison to my weight... The Thing is... I tried 30-40 suits (that should fit skinny guys)... none of them actually did! Its horrible!

So I was really happy when i found something that fits better then the rest, although not perfect...

and I'll try to bind the tie down to the trouser next time!

greets!

at 186 it should be rather easy to find fitting clothes. stick to tall slim sizes. 1,84 is the average height for a dutch adult man...

anybody interested in a height chart photomontage à la the usual suspects? starting with foo ending with vaux de la vicomte.

could be fun to see how picking out clothing suitable to your size and proportions matters.

Suit looks nice.

That pattern on the shirt makes it look like fusing gone bad.

Spoo-baby, trousers are a little to light in color (winter) season, maybe a grey flannel trouser - wool tie...  A dark grey flannel with the shoes, oh baby!

Yeah, I got that vibe too -- the pants are going in the back of the closet for very cold days. I pulled them out because A) they were new, and B) my (much slimmer, of course) navy cords were in the wash.

Thanks, though. As for professorial, I'm actually still in school at the moment. My girlfriend's neighbors thought she was having a completely inappropriate relationship with one of her profs.
