Nice jacket / shirt / tie combo, Stitch. The colours are bang-on. Like HF though, I was expecting a suit as I scrolled down.

is the first one a Chan, too?
the final decision on jacket length is a personal one, can't tell much from the finished jacket with the shirt untucked and your feet not included in the shot, but it looks like it's covering your butt. so i'd say that works well especially if you are short, as you said.

I couldn't perform a golf swing in a jacket not even with armholes high enough to cut of blood circulation, maybe with raglan sleeves smile.gif

@tits: how is critiquing a garment which can yet be fully altered more ludicrous than critiquing a finished garment where most alterations are not an option any more?

This coat (in the fitting stage) isn't by Chan. They are no longer my go-to tailor.

What do you think about the shape of the coat that is in the fitting stage? I kind of prefer it over Chan's silhouette.

holdfast when are we finally having that turtleneck meetup?

to see london coping with 2 inches of snow is always very amusing.

navy turtleneck with NOBD plastic buttons on this peacoat.

@bboy for what it's worth I like the chan coat, can't say very much on the other one at this stage. can't yet compare the two.

Also consider the same combination with a cream/ecru shirt instead. A warm colour like that might play even better with the yellow in the tie and the brown of the shoes.

I'm curious to see how the forum reacts to this like. Personally, I really like it; it also looks incredibly warm, which is important. Today, I was so cold in Paris, I had compression shorts underneath my pants.

What are your general rules for combining textures, if you don't mind? That looks like a corduroy jacket with a silk tie and PS. Would it have also been reasonable to pair it will a wool tie?

I uploaded the pictures... I guess nobody could see them in my posting...

My first selfbought suit... (tiger of sweden)

What I def. need are 2 belts brown/black fitting the shoes... this one is just bad...

sry for the bad quality

Since i'm big (1,86) and skinny i've a lot of problems finding suits that fit me... I know this one is not perfect... but better than anything I've tried so far and i fitted it a little bit at p&c tailor too!

I know you don't like lloyd shoes (and I know about their terrible repuation) but they were one of the few pairs that actually fit my feet...

The pair of brown shoes I also my first pair of nailed shoes which are a little bit more casual...

What can I improve for the future?

thx a lot...

Loved the fit. I know people were not so thrilled with the monochromatic coloring but sometimes its necessary and I like the way you did it.
