Uh...........no.
If I said my grandmother wanted her comforter back, I hope you wouldn't be offended.
That scarf needs to be wrapped at least once around your neck, if not left behind.
The balance of your outfit is outstandingly good in every way and something tells me you are better than that scarf beginning with how you seem to look at it with near remorse in each picture.
Cheers!

An SF Rule I obviously missed in the SF RULEZ MEMO
I like 3 buttons. I generally prefer 2, but 3 occasionally is nice for variety. Not sure how I feel about the pinstripe suit though. I've always associated those with power suits and they seem a bit odd on a college kid.
But if you possess the gravitas to pull it off in real life, go for it. Can't say I've met many college kids that do have that kind of (justified) sense of self-importance though.
Ooo, clickey savey. I foresee lots of use for this gif. Diolch.
Helluva fit today, by the way. Really liking the SC.

rulez?? There are no rulez and certainly no memo.
The scarf would look better if presented different than as above. If you want to add drama to your outfit then put on an opera cape with scarlet lining and see if you get a better effect, which I am sure you will. And do not forget the tophat.
Did I miss the SF memo on keeping my opinion to myself? If so, forward it to me under separate cover, and I will read it.
Take a look at those pictures of yourself in six months and send me a pm to let me know if you still think the look is still a good one. I will accept your opinion, since you are the judge with the power of law in this situation, not me.
I only think you could appear better than you present in the above pictures. But then, I could be moron with access to my parents computer who received all their fashion sense from their inbred no count relatives, Sears catalog, and their favorite anime movies.
Best of luck with your look. I hope it gets you what you want.
Cheers!
