timo, i love your style, you know that, and the colors in the top half are great, but im not feeling the gray on blue so good, not because i dont like gray on blue, i love it. just these you have seem to be really close in color, but not a suit.
unless the picture is not really getting the colors right, or my screen brightness is off, or all the drugs are messing my vision. any or all of those are certainly possible.

I had the same tie and would resort to a half Windsor + Prince Albert frankenknot.

Printed silks really do need a tighter not due to the smoothness of the silk, otherwise they just get loose throughout the day. Most "un-lined" ties do still have a light lining at the knot area for a bit of shape and still manage to remain very lightweight as the silk is usually lighter and less stiff. Whether Ed's do or not I don't know. I've always found printed silk a lot easier to tie and more dimple friendly once I started cinching the knot in a bit more.
