Two rules are breached:

1) No Brown in Town?

2) Structured shoulder for country suit?

Results? Total FU nicely

p.s. Cloth by Harrison of Edinburgh Fine Classic (old stock), 3 button notch coat, 6 button waistcoat (no lapel), fishtail trouser without back pockets (sloppiest due to the absence of braces during fitting). Second Fitting.

Meh, lots of people wear brown in town, and classic English hacking jackets (tweed, as country as it gets) are pretty structured garments.

Nice fit on the jacket, but looks like the pants are a bit too long...

picked up another pair of new-fit-pants™ today.

Good looking pants and shirt.
Both bespoke or MTM?

Top half is great, but I think the trousers could stand to be a few shades darker to contrast a bit better with the jacket. Also - and I appreciate this is a bit rich coming from me - I think the jacket might be a half-inch or so too long in the body, maybe.

Nice colours. You know, I saw a near-idently fabric in a Zegna suit the other day. Very nice (would have been tempted if it had fit me better). You have a real eye for finding good vintage items.

Great personality in this outfit (the colour scheme, the shirt fabric & monogram, etc). Really great.

Even so, I'd suggest double-checking the trouser length (while wearing braces) at the final fitting.

The suit seems fairly typically English in style, and not particularly FU. I like that style of suit though. I'm not convinced the colour flatters you, but that may just be a combination of the mint shirt and the artificial/interior lighting. It looks taupe/olive here and that's a tricker shade to wear. A richer/darker green or brown tends to work better on many skin tones I think.

Pants are RTW 100% wool from a local brand here. Just had them shortened + 5 cm cuffs.

Everything is way to baggy, imo.  Jacket looks to be at least 2 sizes to large.

I think the trousers are actually a bit lighter than they appear in the picture. I've worn this with darker gray, and I'm not sure it's better. You can be the judge when next I post that combo. re jacket length, it's definitely at the longer end of acceptable on me. The squarish fronts accentuate the appearance of length, I think.

That's the second Texas college football comment you've made today. You go to school here (Texas, not Seoul)?

And damn the SEC.

I'm not sure I'd break up a marriage over it, but probably for the best. biggrin.gif
