What I want to know is - Is that Chewbacca underneath that thing, and if so, is that his idea of an Irish fisherman knit sweater? Did he knit it himself, or did Han Solo or Princess Leia do it for him as a Xmas gift?
This reaffirms my thoughts about lavender shirts. Was this the one you wore to lunch?.
I do hate to disappoint you, MK, but the shirt is blue. It may appear a bit lavender as I was trying to undo the very yellow hue that the lighting in my living room gives everything, and thus cooled the color temperature.
As for whether this was the shirt I wore to lunch when we had the pleasure of meeting, no - I think that the shirt I was wearing that day was a similarly patterned twill from Lewin - a bit brighter blue, a much more flimsy fabric. It takes a LONG time for shirts to cycle through rotation in my shirt drawers, and it's not been that long since we met.
sugarbutch: I like that DB look more than you do, I guess. I mean, it might not be perfect, and it might not be your usual taste, but it ain't bad in my book. What's bugging you about it? Just the fit?
Yeah, the fit is dismaying. I love the look from the second row of buttons up, but from there down, I am a case study in how difficult it is to do DBs well.
I was hoping some of the old heads would chip in with some fit advice, but I suspected they wouldn't be here in WAYWRN. Anyway, I think it's too long and a bit boxy. I also need to put in buttons for braces to help the pants drape better.
