Think I should have gone a size up with this coat - unfortunately it's too late to return it now. I can button it with no effort, but shoulders and hips feel off. I think letting out the back seam might work...
Also I believe I'm gonna experiment with tapering the pants from the knee down only.

Maybe not a sweater I would typically wear with this jacket but i am home on break and was pairing things i threw in my bags as I was headed home lol.
This is an appealing, cheerful sweater.
I have a wool bow tie with the exact pattern and color scheme. The blue OCBD, the coat, and the PS..... liking this combination lots.

I think your ties are very "business", you need more textured ones, like dupion silk, wool and madder. Your sportcoats and flannel suits would greatly benefit from them ![]()

Thanks for you comments, I know the ties are kind of the same - I tend to stick to my comfort zone. I do own a fair number of wool ties but I find that I don't like them too much since the tend to get rather bulky. It's a pity because they are very nice!
As for madders I would love to get my hands on a few of those, but the best ones I have seen are from Drake's and I just can not live with their decision to mainly produce 8cm wide ties - I need 9cm or even 9.5 cm. I checked in at their store during a recent visit to London and they had a small range of longer/wider ties, but the selection they carried was rather small. Anyone know of another source for ancient madder ties that come in wider widths than 8 cm?
In the US, on the low end of the quality scale, there are a selection of 10 shirts with eyelet collars at www.paulfredrick.com. Further up the shirt quality scale, a quick check of Brooks Bros. website revealed two shirts with eyelet collars - in plain white and blue, with double cuffs. (Search for "novelty collars", when looking for dress shirts.)
Hope that this is of some assistance. For the record, I've found a few on sale at Brooks in past seasons, though not with double cuffs.

You could try dropping a mail to Patrizio Cappelli. I think he's got madder ties, but they aren't listed on the site, at least not as a separate category. I suspect some ties in the "paisley" and "twill silk" lists are ancient madder, but not 100% sure.
Drakes sells some madders in longer length, those are 9 cm wide and I think a couple of them are very nice.
You could also try Sam Hober, though I don't really like their madder prints for ties (they're too large), but maybe you do ![]()
