Horrible instagram quality pics, but you get it. The pants are of course the ones that inlandisland made for me last year.

Just underneath. I've dropped a few pounds for marathon season but will be gaining them back once I dive back into CPA prep. I wish the shoulders were more natural, but haven't wanted to deal with it in the meantime.

Fred: was that really a purpley-blue suit with a fuschia stripe?! If so, wonderfully jazzy but I sincerely hope you spent the day & night in similarly louche & decadent surroundings to make the most of it! Very far-out colours; does the suit have covered buttons to complete the retro late 60s/70s feel?

(if it's just the photo's lighting, and it's actually "just" a normal red-on-navy stripe, I'm a little disappointed but would completely understand... ;) )

Our blast of cold weather continues...

... I more typically wear black shoes with navy suits, but everything else I was wearing pointed me away from that today.

I think that last Merril Hoge knot is actually conservative compared to his usual buffoonery. His tie is literally 8 inches above his belt. How can he do this over and over, especially given that he is on TV without someone pointing this out or subtly and privately correcting him? It must be a Yin/Yang of the universe because his polar opposite is Bill O'Reilly whose ties and knots also look like shit for being so tiny.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

^ I said it before but that's a great jacket.

Wrong tie for that outfit though.
