the PS is just senseless here. it looks like a table cloth, its way to big, and neither its color or texture is coherent with anything else you are wearing. ditch it, and dont even bother replacing it. i know there is a contingency here that firmly believes that without a PS no outfit is complete, but that is not entirely true. the PS requires the deftest touch of the whole rig to do right. when you have the shirt/tie/jacket game down solid, then you can return to the PS if you like. that is just my opinion obviously, but i was given that advise by a well respected member here, and it did me well.
i dont mean to come off as a jerk, im just trying to help you out.

Agreed on all points. I'm not really one for pocket squares, but if I do it's a simple. I don't really know the SF consensus on it, but I usually roll with a square fold barely peaking out white linen PS if I decide to put one in.

EDIT: What awful grammar. I'll leave it alone to remind myself to proof-read once in a while.

Butch, I think you need to pull your tie at least 3-4" further outward.

Quite the tie boner, Butch.

It's an odd fabric. It's more textured than it appears here, and I don't think it would make a good suiting fabric. It may be unwearable. Sigh...

i don't really care for it in that combo, but you could easily pull that off in a casual context with black pants and no tie.

A few photos from the past few days, cross-posted from the Australian Members' thread. Please accept my apologies for the occasionally fuzzy iPhone photos and for the lack of full-length photos.

kudos to your wife for indulging you.

Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for the compliments guys!

Admittedly the shirt is terrible, and I agree about the point collar. I have a few shirts in transit as we speak--trying to pin down my go to shirt (finnamore, borrelli and a ledbury). We shall see!
