I think they look great and flattering, but most people would think they look even more old-mannish than the same pants on a thin dude.

What I really hate are high rise flat fronts on a bigger man, no matter how well cut! Front arse is not a good look...

Awesome stitchy! However, I think by letting the sunlight hit you directly in the front we might get a better representation about the fit, just my $0.02. Of course, I love the shoes, but I would like them even better with a bit more polish on the toes.

my college room mate went into genetic anthropology but I doubt that even she could explain the apparent evolutionary gap that seems to be existent between the two of us. maybe you are the missing desideratum linking us to other great apes.

If this is the only thing you can say about this outfit I think you have some learning to do.

stitchy, I prefer suit pants with greater foot openings, covering the first 1-2 holes of the shoe.

Also, wtf is going on between the two of you clapey and stitch, seems you guys need to calm yourselves down a bit...

Morning Gents

Forgive the dark shot, the suit is a deep grey and the tie looks much better irl

I got to wear a suit yesterday for the first time in a month and all you guys get is a crappy bathroom pic due to lack of lighting anywhere else. I am sorry haha. Shirt is a blue stripe, tie purple/burgundy grenadine. Next time I suit up I will take a much better picture...good to post again tho.

Left sleeve looks long but it is the angle.

thanks. the problem is, if the sunlight is direct, it can wash out the colors. its a tough game the whole lighting thing, especially with an iphone.

CLAPEY!!! you know i was only saying those things out of love right? i was not upset about the great rise debate, just messing around. i would not speak like that here in a serious way, only with someone that i assumed understood i was not even remotely serious.

i do not prefer greater foot opening. see above for clap explanation, i thought it was clear that i was just messing with him for being right and having nicer hair than me.

I remember that sketch. rotflmao.gif And those old Motorola Microtac phones they use at one point; my dad had one and I thought it was the bees-knees in style & size compared to the old brick he had before that. Did you know, the pull-up aerial is actually just solid plastic? It isn't an aerial at all and is just for show. I'm serious; Motorola decided the phone wouldn't look enough like a phone without a (fake) visible aerial. Actually, it's genius, as it gave people something practical (if pointless) to do when using the phone and experiencing bad reception.

One very very annoying things about SF of late is the ability of some posters to turn threads into threaks about themselves. Can I suggest that all of us at least think about whether it is worth engaging in more than simply the usual polite critique on the WAYWRN-type threads in particular, otherwise we end of with a downward spiral in which those particular posters dominate to the exclusion of a a more useful critical sharing of fits and views form a wider range of people.

I am deliberately not mentioning names here and I am not even interested in discussing who prompted this comment because I think this is about how we all decide to post rather than targeting individuals.

Why not make the threak all about me? biggrin.gif

Well, anyone who read my long-ago comments about disliking green ties should have seen this coming. The tie was my grandfather's - I never would have bought such a thing...but have worn it twice this month. Go figure.
