HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part III - Page 2686

Stitchy, I really like your brother's shirt collar. And I see he has your love of big watches.

Since joining SF, my two navy jackets have been getting a lot of wear. I need to pick up another one as soon as MoL's No Purchase Club ends (38R, in case anyone is selling)

Tried out cuffs. Don't think they are for me.

lets just say, we have our sartorial differences.
ya'll may critique all you like, just dont be assholes. he is my brother.

I get the exact same thing with my brother. Won't listen to me that stuff is too tight, or that his first couple of suits shouldn't be loud patterns or niche fabrics.

Anyways, since I'm guessing based on this that your brother isn't going to change his ways overnight, at the least try to get him to wear a solid, sober shirt with that suit, might tone it down a bit.

And yeah, button up one more button of that vest smile.gif

Way too much going on here. A riot of color and pattern that is a bit out of control. The individual pieces are not bad (although I'm not really a fan of the vest.) They just don't work together.

This is the only indication I have taken lately that I am doing ok with my wardrobe. No one has been giving me feedback.

Much like Batman, I come to the rescue when I am needed...

I think that a suit like that will only work with a solid (maybe white) shirt.
I would likely choose black shoes (or at least a darker shade of brown.)
Could really use a tie and a pocket square.

Batman was a dark avenger. Superman did most of the rescuing. His tact was far better developed too.

- Looks like the back rise on the pants is too long, needs to be cleaned up. I think less taper to the cuff would be better too, proportionally. More on that below.
- Hard to tell much about the jacket fit with that stance. However, just going off what I see:
- Shoulder looks kinda extended, borderline too wide. If that's a deliberate style choice (which is fine) I think there needs to be balance below, i.e., not such skinny tapered pants.
- Collar seems to be sitting low and away from the neckline. With that and the way the lower front is pulling up and away, I smell a front-to-back balance problem.
- He may have a low right shoulder that wasn't corrected for, resulting in the wrinkles on that side of the vest
- Did he just choose not to button up the vest all the way, or is it too tight for him to do so?

lol, you sound like me when i talk to him. thanks for putting it into words.

he thinks the shoulders are fine, i told him i disagree, they extend well past his actual shoulders. he intentionally pushes his chest out and his jacket back, causing that gap you refer to, and he intentionally leaves a few buttons open on the vest, that is his spreez/swag. he is more #menswear, than #tailored clothing.

also, i really think the guy he uses is a weak sauce bespoke maker. it always seems off to me when i see his work. but, he likes it, and for the vast majority of people that see him, ho looks like a stylin dude.

i always enjoy/want to pull my hair out, when we talk about style. laugh.gif

^^^ Absolutely love the watch. Simplicity and minimalism are my watchwords for wrist wear.

Yes, I know the lapels are skinny and the gorge too high for you guys - but I´m not ready to retire it yet...Shirt is Barba, tie is wool from Fiorio and the suit a charcoal flannel by Lindeberg

Your company mandates that you wear horrible ties?
