Gold? You fool. It's made of melted-down Imperial starships.

so you guys have never seen someone pic a tie before? or is this just another case on nitpicking on southernstyle's quirks.

Not in anyway meant to nitpick. I like it; I'm a huge fan of quirkiness and a firm believer that MC could use more of it (provided its tasteful). I've really not seen one used before. And as I said, I don't use either pins or bars, but I do think there is a bit of incongruity in using a safety tie pin (come to think of it, I have seen a few pins...just never those that looked like safety pins) and that that is a good thing.

I'm not always a fan of ss's look, but I definitely am appreciative of what his look brings to the thread.

Do it like the POW (and yours truly) buy it at New and Lingwood and stick it through a shirt button hole and line it up (and through) with the strip at the back of the tie! bigstar[1].gif

A little nervous about this, but it's my first entry into WAYWRN.  This was Friday after an evening event...yes...taken in a bar bathroom.

It's not a great pic, or pose for assessing fit. But your shirt collar is definitely too big and I am pretty sure the jacket fit is very off. And come on, you know you are posing for a pic for this forum and you are looking in a mirror...did it not occur to you to fix your tie knot? satisfied.gif That said, I like the look of the outfit and you would look quite polished if the fit were better. Good luck, padawan.
