I am going to disagree with lufty, this is actually pretty good. I don't like the pattern of the sportcoat or the pocket square, but all your items go pretty well together and use different shades of the same color well and your colors are not loud. In good light, I think this is a very good outfit that I would not wear. And the tie looks like a lovely wool.

For those that are not fans of the tie, rest assured it only has one or two more wears left in it. The slip-stitch, if that's the right terminology for it, is coming loose on the narrow part of the blade, so I fear it's not much longer for this world. Shame, because I quite like the tie myself, for occasional use.

You could get the stitch repaired. I have had this done on many ties.

I think Ed's day just got a whole lot worse. (thanks for the tip; I'll look into it, but I've no idea who could do it near me. I don't think a dry cleaner could do it, and I can't imagine Ede will want to mess around with ties, though I guess I should ask).

These wings are fantastic! I'm not usually a fan of big cuffs, opting for a more standard size, but the cuff/wing combination is really good rookin'. Nicely done!

I appreciate the comment. FWIW, though, this is one of my shorter ones. Only one other suit that I wear regularly has a jacket shorter than this one, and only by 1/4". No offense to you or anyone else here, but I have just about decided to ignore comments on my jacket lengths. They all feel fine to me, and I suspect the comments are influenced as much by camera angle and the commenter's preferences as anything else.

As others said, i´d loose the cardy. It´s not bad in terms of colour, the texture just doesn´t pay off for me. We´ve had far worse starters (including my own), so keep it going that way and you´ll eventually get the praise you deserve

In my eyes, the contrast between the tie/shirt/sc combo is too low, it looks a bit faded out. Maybe that´s just the lightning, but a dark blue tie might have been the better choice.

I mean, it´s great to get the sf love for one´s fit, but when it all comes down, i´d say one should do what makes him feel good, and hell, i felt great
