Jacket seems way too long.

I'm going to be the odd-one-out who says that the other one looked better, aren't I? I don't think that the green goes with the beige pants (or the tie) particularly well. I much prefered the grey: subtle and more elegant, and the grey pants appeared to be slimmer and therefore fit better with the svelte cut of the jacket. But apparently I am in a minority here, so don't listen to me!

Edit: oops, just noticed that actually Cantabrigian has already said much the same.

Went with the matching vest. It wasn't the most popular option here, but I felt like wearing a vest.

I also like darker ties with tweeds fits. Or maybe it's that I just don't like yellow ties.

Hmm. I guess I get what you guys are saying, and probably will still do the gray/green combo occasionally. But I am a little more comfortable in today's fit.

Yes, covert twill. Brooks Brothers sold them as cavalry twill, but that's a slightly different weave. I have them in gray and olive as well as tan, and love them.

Well, that was my vote...so all is well! I just did not understand why anyone would be against a three-piece for a Fall afternoon wedding.

I for one love dark green with tan, and much prefer the tan trousers with Orgetorix's jacket. In fact the corduroys I wore today were purchased to go with a MTM olive green windowpane jacket that is in the works. smile.gif

Certainly the worst fit I have seen from you of late (and I only say this because you usually get things pretty much dead right): there is no coherence between the top and the bottom halves of the outfit, the cord pants are significantly too casual for the rest, the tie doesn't seem to work with the jacket (I can't quite work out why) and the shirt is just not nice.

Funny how differently we can perceive certain things. This is one of my favourites from RDiaz, I love the whole combo, with the exception of the PS perhaps.

A bit behind schedule today. Deadline week.
You know, narrow lapels are so done. I kinda regretted purchasing this jacket for a while. But for some reason, looking at it today, my previous love of narrow lapels from 3-4 years ago has been restored. They can look really sharp! cue DocHolladay

Thanks Kai..its more of a summer P.S that I rarely used when on the east coast of the U.S.. now I'm in California even though its November/almost Winter, its still 80 degrees out here  ..except for a couple days ago it dipped to 50 its been pretty much 75-80. So while you guys get to throw on your awesome fall looks, I'm still stuck in summer :(
