From yesterday, sorry about the meh pictures, the shirt is purple gingham, tie navy silk knit. Hope everyone had a good weekend

And yes I am wearing jeans :/

@Kai: I love all your looks, really (I liked that funky tie a while back that was getting some knots), but this one is a bit monochrome for me.

When I wear a tie with jeans (rarely, but I definitely do), I like using a cardigan to offset the whole "tie with jeans" thing.

Oddly, Korea is a country where knock off brands sometimes are more expensive than the real thing (Teenie Weenie, ridiculous name and all, is about the same price as PRL if not more expensive). And I agree with with Vovan that Koreans pull off "cute" better than us white folk. In the States or Europe, that tie would definitely not be MC-ok. In Korea, it's a bit more acceptable among style conscious, professional Koreans. I'd never wear it, but I wouldn't call it hideous from a purely aesthetic standpoint. The choice to put any sort of animal, especially that large, onto a tie is a poor one, but it is poor not necessarily because it looks awful in and of itself, but because it is transforming a piece of clothing into a novelty.
