Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show) The PoW with the turtleneck: full turtleneck, but fairly light and not tight around the neck. I often wear black shoes with this, but I wanted non-slip soles and all my black shoes are leather-soled. I started wearing turtlenecks a bit more after seeing an ad showing a model wearing a velvet jacket with a turtleneck sweater. Then I read George was wearing... a beige glen plaid suit and a blue polo neck sweater (The Second Cigarette, Patricia Highsmith) and experimented from there (although with a beige suit, a white turtleneck sounds much more fun).

EFV I really like the fabric - in fact, I had some cushions made up in something similar recently, and started wondering about suit possibilities. But the blue shirt with the red/yellow bow tie is strong competition. I'd prefer a more subdued shirt, and either a plain wool bow tie, or a less bold wool challis bow tie. I can't really tell, but the waistcoat looks a bit low (overlaps with the trousers more than I'd like), and wide at the bottom, and for some reason it distresses me to see a seam edge (the fronts) end on a bold line in the fabric pattern. I'm curious about the pockets on the waistcoat. Shoes look fantastic with the suit. Good luck with the new venture.

re f'length pictures, they're nice to have if taken properly, but if blurry or too dark, then not worth the effort. I've probably posted all of my suits/jackets in f'length images at some point or another, so I'm really more interested in feedback on the combinations. Plus, there's that vanity thing that Señor Crusty mentioned.

Anyway, here's a nearly f'length of yesterday's outfit, complete with turtled shirt cuffs and inadvertently tucked pocket flap:

New shirt, tie, trousers, and square.

Extremely smart, considering there's 7 or 8 colours in play.

another suit fit from the shah ! i ended originally wore it with the shirt (extra long, hidden button placket) untucked and with only top button closed on jacket but felt this changed the silhouette a bit
