The jacket has elbow patches so it's quite informal but I see what you're getting at.
Shoes are Antonio Meccariello MTO.

cool. would love to see pics when they are ready.

rdiaz - i see what you did there in your fit. smile.gif

Does this mean something in particular? I only ask because I have no idea what goes on at AAAC...

Yup, that's what I was talking about chinos + coat and tie if you keep it casual enough... though I'm still not convinced with how chinos look on me. Cotton doesn't drape as well as wool and my weird hips make it worse confused.gif

i believe it was a comment stating he feels most of the pics here have an air of mediocrity. and that they tend towards looking like we all shop at JAB or MW. then again, i have never been to AAAC, but i think thats what he meant.

I can only interpret gnatty's meaning as "the fit pictures posted are of clothing worn at a lower level of sartorial expertise" here, resembling those posted at AAAC, which has become rather the beginners' place to post photos. (Or, conversely, it could be a veiled comment on my postings, as I post in both places, though I will not interpret it as such.)

i think that chinos/khakis and a SC can be great. i just feel that the fabric, texture and fit of the SC needs to be right for the pants. its just a pet peeve of mine. SB shares it i think.

I think so, too. And I'm sure I'm contributing to the mediocreness, but I don't think only those who have reached sartorial nirvana should be allowed to post here eh.gif

That said, it would be great if some of those who have reached it, or at least are closer, posted here more often. Most of them are gone frown.gif

Pretty sure he just means that this thread needs more pictures of me. I think we can all agree with that.

i dont disagree with gnatty in entirety, but i think most people here that post more than once are learning an improving. i feel there are a lot of one and dones, where people realize this is not the place for them, or cant handle the criticism... and we are left with pics that are sucky and the user never returns. but there are also a lot of highly improved posters, and while we are lacking some of the old all stars, there are still some consistently good SF poters that supply pics here.

due to the size of the site, i dont see this changing all that much, but its certainly bearable, even if not ideal per say.

Well, that's clearly not my fault. My high contrast, tie no-jacket combinations were bursting at the seams with awesome juice.
