It's not actually 5-6 inches too short. We don't know that without a full shot, because he may have monkey long arms. Judging by the photo, it seems to cover most of his rear, so likely just 1-2in short.
In the interest of scientific research, I've been trying to understand the local preference for dark brown ties. I had occasion to obtain one recently, and am wearing it in the configuration shown below. Is this what all you brown tie-wearing types have been talking about?
My favorite fit of yours by far.
A brown tie is perfectly neutral but warmer than solid blue or black.
Crappy lighting today, so the photo quality is not what it should be. Frigging cold today as well, hence the buttoned up peacoat. Rather casual underneath so not much is missed.
Oh, peacoat and trousers are both navy (they look black in the photo)
I understand plus-fours are quite extravagant, but I'd have picked it up for the jacket and waistcoat alone... sorry to hear that.
Good idea. I was there today and tested the outfit with dark brown trousers. It looked good. But I still think the plus-fours dress is too expensive. Over $500.
More vintage fråm the 1970´s: I found this Travolta 3-p suit in wool and Terylene in a flea market in Stockholm last week. Unfortunately it is too small for me.
Lolz, your place aswell? If so, very funky and cool!

first tweed of the season is a good reason to leave a post
Brownish (not grey) herringbone jacket, blue/black on white checked shirt, black wool tie (bought this weekend) and navy/red square on the top, with grey flannels, argyle socks and hazelnut half-brogues - bottom photo taken months ago, with another camera
